Apps were originally called scripts and are in many ways what scripts are in JFW. The term "apps" is modern nomenclature and apps, in that way, are similar to apps for a cell phone in that they enhance the capability of the screen reader or the pc itself. Apps, as with those for cellphones, allow the pc, when using WE, to do things that may or may not be directly related to the screen reader. Apps is shortand for applications. These are mini applications (programs or software) that increase the flexibility of either the screen reader, the pc itself, or things that we can do via the pc. The best way to understand apps or scripts is by using them. And the neat thing, if you don't like what they do, you can get rid of any app any time you like with no detrimental effect on the screen reader or the p c.
Christ told his disciples not to be anxious about tomorrow, but he never said not to consider tomorrow. Intelligent problem solving demands careful consideration of the future effects of present solutions. R.C.
