That's a program which allows you to do more stuff with your graphic card.
Example, multiple monitors all can be done with it.
But other than that, if it's just for gaming, that program should not be
required.

Most of the time, in fact all the time, I help my client to install the
drivers without the catalyst suite. That's all they need to get their
computer going.

Subject: Catalyst Control Center

I have WE 7.5.4 on a Win 7 64 bit computer. This isn't specifically 7.5.4
related because it's been a problem for a while but it's getting more
annoying. It seems like WE has to fight the AMD CCC capturing window just to
load initially and when I try to do something usually in IE9, I hear
"catalyst control center." I find catalyst control center in the start-up
folder and I know I can uncheck it to stop it from coming on automatically
and I remember from past emails that this should help resolve the problem.
However, it's my mother's computer and I'm not sure what doing that will
mean. I don't know what the catalyst control center does or impacts. Does it
have anything to do with games and if so would it require extra steps to
activate in order to play a game? I don't want to change anything on her
computer that will affect how she's used to doing things.

Thanks for any help.
Nancy
