Hello all,
Using WE 7.5.4 with IE 8 and Firefox 11.
I am a voulenteer instructor for the Cisco Acadomy for the Visually Impaired in the IT Essentials class. As part of this, we have to use Cisco's rather interesting website with their online course matterials and such. With this there is a grade book that shows scores on exams, each exam appears in IE 8 with WE like this:
Begin Flash
Skills Review Exam
End Flash
Begin Flash
Chapter 1 Exam
End Flash
And so on.
In Firefox the flash objects don't show at all with browse mode or with the mouse pointer. Apparently one is supposed to click on the content in these flash objects to activate the details for the score for each exam. The other instructors are telling me that this cannot be accomplished with WE, that only Jaws can do it, but that perhaps as I am a full time user of WE I can find a way to do it that they don't know about. With Jaws they maximize the IE window, route jaws to pc and then can click the objects with the mouse, but when I try this with WE and it's mouse pointer I can't find anything to click on. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong, and if so can anyone comment on anything I might need to change in settings Etc to make flash objects visible to WE's mouse pointer? I am insuring that when I do the mouse pointer that I insure the flash objects are on screen in the virtual cursor, then I do an insert plus, top left of screen and come down with the mouse pointer. Please note that yes I have tried disabling browse mode and tabbing through the page, but these objects are not available for selection with tab. Thanks for any help. I don't really want to have to install Jaws on here, as it just results in more unneeded services and video intercept drivers and such.
