i redefined my read to end 10 years ago to shift control enter for this very reason. shift control r is the outlook express, windows mail and wlm command to reply to all and are in conflict. sometimes it works sometimes not. i have no problem useing control r to reply to a message. if you are reading a message in plain text w e will not read it. check in the applications/options/mail window and the read control tab to see if read in plain text is unchecked. then w e will use browse mode to read a incomeing message.
