I believe you are in the right neighborhood. What about the interruptability toggle button? Is it set to global? If it is set to program, your settings change will only affect the currently active set file. Stupid question. Did you save the settings?

I used to be able to arrow quickly down my in box for example and just hear the beginning of each message because as soon as I arrowed down, the speech would stop reading the current line and start reading the next line down. The same would happen wherever I was reading, I could simply press control or any key and the speech would stop or if I was quickly arrowing down a page, it would not insist on reading the entire line before starting the line I had arrowed to. I have double checked my settings and have interruptability set to any key so I do not know why it is doing it but I am studying my Masters and the lack of interruptability when trying to quickly scan through mountains of reading is driving me crazy! It is taking me so much longer getting through any type of information on my computer. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
