after i followed kb1127 knowlege base the mouse and w e windows started working again like they did with firefox 3.6 did. its just that these configuration changes go back to the factory settings about 2 times per week and i have to change the settings back again. i haven’t figured out exactly when this happens. may when i use netflix? i am monitoring firefox now to see if i can figure out when the settings go back. i have not used system restore either. this would cause the settings to go back.
note: firefox 3.6 will not recieve anymore security updates as april 24 when mazila drops all support for it. It seems that something may be messed up with the profile. If I had this happening I'd back up bookmarks and uninstall FF and choose the item to remove personal data. This would blast all saved information. Then do a fresh install of FF 11. I did have to remove a corrupt file on one of my 3 machines to restore the menues. That machine had gone through many FF updates. You should not have to do these resets at all let alone every few days. FF seems to have something wrong. Hope you can get this to work right.
