Hi folks
I'm pleased to say that my issues have been fixed. Yesterday I wrote in
saying that I had issues with window-eyes lagging and being very very
unresponsive. I followed Steve's advice and disabled sound inhansements,
but that still didn't seem to help by a lot. It sped things up, but not
by a whole lot, things were still lagging.
I remember a while back that someone had mentioned that apps can
sometimes cause problems. So, I was able to turn app status off. The
lagging went away. Ok, so now I knew it was an app. I remember in a
podcast that you can set app status to manual so that if there are
problems you can enable an app 1 by one until you find the problem.
That's what I did next and I was able to determine that the Nod 32
update announcement app had been the one causing the trouble. Yesterday
i was scanning my system and was looking for an app that might help with
Nod, and I found the update announcement one, which I used to have, but
forgot about. I guess that one doesn't work so well with newer versions
of wineyes. So, I uninstalled it, set the app status to on, and all is
well. Just thought I'd pass that tip on in case someone has a similar
issue. hope that helps!
