Firstly, we have the same specs, except, that I am using tb 12.0.1.

I am not having this problem.
What I do when WE7.5.4.1 is not behaving as it should, is the following:
tab out and tab back
if that does not do the trick
I control backspace then
alt a
arrow right to off and enter
then alt f
press x
then control alt w
then alt a
arrow right to off then arrow down to on
and enter
then I open notepad and hit f9 which is the hotkey for chekkey (which I
will send to you in a separate e-mail).

complaint with TB is the lack of first letter navagation in folders. I
had always been an outlook user until this machine started failing to
send mail. Had a tech in and spent 8 hours removing office 2003 several
times and reinstalling as well as other remedies never being able to
correct the problem.
