Aaron,
I am not going to argue anything here. Still, I do wonder a bit, your
comment.
Whenever a developer have technical things to discuss, or anything 'behind
the scene' for his app, I do understand that things have to go to the
app-lists. But sometimes, a developer is doing a bit of research, as to the
general opinion of his app or parts of the functionality he wants to
implement. Many a user is not subscribing to any of the more techie lists,
and so never would be given the cnace of joining in, when comes to cases
like this. Now, the developer could have released his app, and then got a
storm of people telling how things should have been done. Problem is, that
many times you would have to decide exactly how to deal with a given
problem, right from the beginning. Not always is there a reason for doing
any user research, as most decision would be of a pure technical and
developer-based character. But a few times, there might be a need for
somehow more user feedback.
Now, just to make things clear: Are you saying, that general questions of
this kind, should NEVER be opened up for the general community to have their
saying? In a sense, if a person do not bother to subscribe to any of the
special lists, due to them being overflowed with a good chunk of techie
stuff he doesn't make head and tail to, well then he is not worthy to have
his saying in general maters, when a developer has to make general
decisions. Would be nice, to have this clarified, so as to avoid falling
into the same pitfall of 'wrong-posting' questions later on, whenever there
is the need for a bit of app research in the community.
Thanks,

You should post this request to the gw-apps list.

Hi:
I have just been working on an app which would speak the text in the
clipboard when you did a cut, copy or paste. I got the idea from a
client who asked me if there is a way to make Window-eyes speak the
text you are pasting from the clipboard.
I am using different keystrokes than the original cut, copy and paste
functions because I want to give people the choice of cutting, copying
or pasting text with or without hearing the contents of the clipboard
read to them.
Before I put this app up on the App Central website, I want to ask the
list if people think it would be a useful app for Window-eyes users.
I would welcome any, and all opinions, and if there are people who
would find it useful, I will proceed to make it available on App
Central.
