Robert:
Using IE8 I also experience Window-Eyes going silent. It seems if an Application stops responding such as IE, OutLook, or network connection this is where Window-Eyes goes south. You might want to create another .bat file killing Internet Explorer. It’s not 100 percent but in combination of killing WE you don’t have to reboot. Here’s the line you need to put in the file. taskkill.exe /im iexplore.exe /f John Gunn Computer Technician Renaissance Learning Inc. It happens to me often. I am running WE 7.5.4.1 WLM IE9 Windows 7. It is happening to too many people with various set ups to be one person’s computer fault. This has to be corrected by the powers that be. I did install a bat file that is supposed to turn off WE and then enable me to turn it back on. It usually doesn’t work because evidently WE is frozen and won’t take any commands. I was able to use the bat file successfully one time so I suspect WE was not frozen that time. I am requesting that we get some word about this problem from GW Micro and info about what is going to be done about it. perhaps in the next release of WE, there can be some sort of command that will trigger a bat file that will get to WE even if it is frozen and turn it off so we can then use ctrl alt W to get it talking again. --Bob (Very frustrated) Ringwald www.ringwald.com If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
