In the desktop keyboard layout, the num pad delete key is assigned to the
Window-Eyes default button hot key, located in the miscellaneous dialog of
the Hot keys tree view node. When you turn off Window-Eyes, the delete key
would be the delete key again. You can redefine the hot key or press the WE
bypass hot key before trying to use the delete key as the delete key.

On the other hand, if you are using the laptop layout, the above probably
would not apply. My guess is that you mentioned a 102 key laptop because you
are using the Window-Eyes desktop layout.
