Steve,
Stopping an app just stops it for that session, meaning that it will
restart automatically when Window-Eyes restarts (assuming it's a global
app. If it's a program app, it will restart when the associated program
restarts). You can also choose to restart a stopped app.
Unloading an app removes it from the app manager, meaning that it won't
run anymore. But that doesn't remove it from the drive, nor does it
remove any associated files. For that, you would use the Add Remove
Packages, as Tim suggested.

the difference. I would like to remove an app from my system but
