sounds like you may be having the sticky browse-mode issue, as I like to
call it. hehe

to fix this, I ended up turning auto-load off by hitting INS-A
then CTRL-SHIFT-A to turn browse mode off, before typing in edit boxes.

Before I did that, I had all kinds of problems with browse-mode wanting to
stay on.
Not just in edit boxes, but on gmail, facebook, webmail clients,
just about any box you type text into. I'd type maybe 2-3 letters after
turning
browse-mode off, and it would come back on automatically just by itself,
so I nipped that issue in the but by using INS-A and toggling browse-mode
on and off manually using CTRL-SHIFT-A, which I think should be by default
anyway
hehe
