If those buttons are not in a Internet Browser window, try to put the mouse
over those buttons and assign them a name with insert-control-F

Hope this works for you,

Subject: lableing buttons

Good afternoon,

the accounting program has a tool called Q tools that is used to make
customized reports from the data base.
One of the available columns that is available is a calculation field. It
opens a dialog where you can manipulate the columns that you select into
formulas. For example you would double click the column labeled estimated
cost and then the button that has the minus sign and then the column field
actual cost. The operators allowed in this formula box are in buttons.
unfortunately the only way to get at the buttons is with the mouse. The
mouse will only call them buttons.

Is there a way that I could label the buttons to say something useful like
plus, minus left paran and the like?
I have tried to use the mouse graphic labeling but since they don't call
themselves graphics that will not work. I don't see how I can reclass them
since I can't get to them by the key board.

Is there any other way to label these button so I could use this?

Thanks Shannon
