Dear List: I am using windows xp. First, I have noticed occasionally when closing out of an application, I get a message saying that scheduled maintenance is in progress. But, when I go to the sys tray, nothing differs from before.When messages like this come up, is there a way to find out where they are coming from? Second, On my yahoo internet mail, sometimes I am asked to verify my user id and password. Is this a scam? Similarly, on my outlook express, I just got a notice to key in my server's password and it said there is a mail server error. Is this also a scam?
