make sure you have gotton the latest critical update that came out 2 days ago. it has a bug fix for ie8 to block this. this is a virus and will install itself if you click on anything. even pressing alt f4 could install it. reboot the computer if this comes up or you might install it.

As of Friday last week, a strange advertisement of some sort has started coming up whenever you start Internet Explorer 8. When you first open it, you'll be placed in a dialog box, which contains the following controls: 1. two edit boxes asking you for your email address and password 2. these are followed by a checkbox that says, "keep me logged in" 3. next is a link that says, "login to Facebook"Then after that, are two buttons to which are not readable with Window-eyes. I can't tell if this is just another one of those pesky ads or a rootkit or virus or something.. But whatever it is, it sometimes makes IE inaccessible with Window-eyes. I've found that if you shut down IE and then start it up again, this has the effect of pushing this thing into the background, so that Google will have focus. I know its a Google/IE thing, because you don't get this in Firefox. So I just thought I'd be a good samaritan and let you know what I've found. Sorry if this is off topic, but I just like to look out for my fellow Window-eyes users and help to keep all of you informed. So, the breaking of list rules is not intended. Mike Rochester, NY.
