Using 7.5.4.1 I have successfully used Window-eyes from a flash drive.
On both xp pro and Vista using DecAcces32 Window-eyes as my synthesizer.

1. copy the Window-eyes program folder to your flash drive. I Rename the
Window-eyes folder to wineyes to make the path easier to type.
2. copy your users folder from your "%appdata%" folder to the new wineyes
folder on the flash drive.
3. run the Video support program from the flash drive.
4. restart your computer.
5. after restarting the computer, if your pen drive his F: for example, type

F:\Wineyes\Wineyes

For me Window-eyes starts up after 30 seconds or so. Probably none of your
apps will be running until you--
6. open the app manager, security, and select all all apps to run.

Jeff Weiss

Subject: Wineyes 7.5 mobile install problems...

Has anyone managed to run the Wineyes 7.5 mobile installation from a
flash drive on any system?
I've installed the mobile wineyes 7.5 onto a USB flash drive using
the mobile install from the original installation disk and have been
completely unable to launch it from that flash drive on any system.
Yes, I did install the video driver from the same flash drive and the
sighted person who happened to be there said that installation went well.
I then attempted to launch Wineyes itself but received no speech, but
the sighted person said there was an error saying that,
"hook.dll or something can't be found".

I've also attempted to do, as the Wineyes manual suggests, copying my
complete wineyes directory from my local installed version, to the
flash drive. I apparently receive different errors, since Wineyes is
attempting to find data from directories that apparently exist on my
main system, but don't on the flash drive.

If anyone has had any luck with running a mobile version of Wineyes
7.5 on a USB flash drive, pleas let me know how you did it.
The instructions in the Wineyes manual simply don't work at all,
using any of their suggested installation methods.

Many thanks in advance for helping me solve this endlessly
frustrating struggle.
