Hi, All! As I said, toobars are a pain. They look nice, but cause problems
with speech. They're basically useless, bloatware.--Matt.

Hi everyone,
I have good news. That weird Facebook login prompt type thing I told
you about yesterday, is finally gone from Internet Explorer 8 and my
computer. Brenda, I did download Malware Bytes as you suggested in your
email message last night, but I ended up not needing to use it. I think
I'll keep it on my computer though, in case I run into a situation in
the future, where it may be needed. I have AVG 2012 on this computer,
and even doing a scan with that, didn't remove this thing. As it turns
out, two pieces of software, had somehow installed themselves on my
computer; Ask toolbar, and Ask toolbar Updater. I just went into the
control pannel of Windows xp, and removed each of them one by one.
Since I did that, IE 8 now opens and performs like normal. I have to
admit though, that when I atemptted to remove the Ask toolbar Updater,
it did try to put up a fuss by trying to tell me that there was an
error of some sort and that the updater couldn't be removed, and that I
should talk to my system administrator. But it went away anyway,
kicking and screamming. Matt, you're right about those toolbars man,
they can be a real pain. Thanks Brenda and everyone else on the list
for your help.
Mike
