If you are connected to an Exchange server once you have highlighted the message, you want to recover, you will need to use your mouse navigation keys.
Press num pad 7 which will put the mouse pointer to the top left of the screen. Now navigate by element press num pad insert+9 until you hear WE say "recover selected items". Now press the left click mouse button usually num pad slash. This will put the selected message into your deleted items folder.
