Greetings,

The inability to see the all users profile when you are running WE as a standard user is a Windows security restriction. To get around it, make sure you run WE with administrative priveleges. The issue of Window-Eyes not starting at the login screen is most likely a group policy restriction for the domain to which you are connecting. In that instance you will need to have the person in charge of such matters permit Window-Eyes to run here. For more details on this issue, see http://www.gwmicro.com/kb1124.

Regards,
Steve

Hey Jeff I ran into that same problem. Seems like anytime I want to do
anything at the log on screen. I end up need ing to contact IT here at

is: is this a problem on the part of Gw micro, or our IT people?
Thanks.

I am switching from XP to Windows 7 at work.

Initially, WE would not speak at the log on screen.

I got to looking at the profiles and found there was only one—default.

I thought allusers should have been there by default but it wasn’t.

I created

Allusers

(all one word) and now the log on screen speaks.

Now, I tried switching to the allusers profile to change the default
speech rate, but the next time I log on, the rate reverts back to the
slow rate that Window-eyes defaults to.

Is there a way to fix this?

Why wasn’t the allusers profile already there?

Thanks,

Jeff Weiss
