Again, I say there's no one size fits all answer. It's simply due to
human nature. We're all individuals. And a bunch of beeps and bops and
zings and dings would drive me crazy! I've already switched browse mode
on/off back to speech. It just feels more fluid to me than my brain
having to swap back and forth between defining words and sounds.
But as long as the speech options remain, I say add this functionality
and call it the pinball wizard option. Although I suppose the
hyper-sensitive connotation extract lingering therein would not be
politically correct these days and the law suits would start breaking wind.

For some reason this makes going through pages faster, because tones
don't require as much time as words. And our brain seems to pick up on
the meaning of sounds very quickly.
