I need to add to what I've written.

I can duplicate the issue of a bong when trying to exit out of table mode under this situation. When reading a table in outlook express, and focused on a blank entry on the right column of that table, I get a bong when pressing ctrl-numpad-dash key to get out of table mode. I just happened to get an email that had three tables in it, and I can successfully get out of the table no matter what column I'm in, except when the particular column and row is blank, then I get the bong. In my specific case, I had a table with two columns and five rows. No problem getting out of the table from anywhere in the right hand most row, except that last column, which has no data in it.

So the problem may have to do with blank areas in tables and exiting problems under that situation.

I'm using iE8, xp, and WE 7.5.4.1. I can exit correctly out of the last column of a table. Might there be something else going on for you?

Currently when exiting table mode control+numpad dash We will often just
bong when in a cell in the last column. In order to exit the table I
have to move to the previous column before pressing the exit table hot
key.

This happens in IE 8 and Adobe PDF. I did not try the beta yet so I
don't know if this behaviour has been carried over.
