re: goldwave. Don't bother with the script. However, look in the help file for the document on accessability. The developer has put together a very nice description of hotkeys you can use. It's all self-explanitory. Jim, as to the marker boxes not being spoken, I've had that issue but turning on the accessability and screen reader modes in goldwave have solved that from what I can tell. hth

Ok tom thanks I will give it another go. Hope the strings are retained this
time. I don't remember exactly how I set them up but every time I did it the
strings were kept and yes I saved the set file and then when window-eyes was
restarted the strings were blank. The float windows were set up but the strings
were blank. I even went in to notepad and looked at the file manually to see if
the strings were there but not being seen buy we. No joy I put them back the
set using note pad or window-eyes witch ever the strings are retained tell
window-eyes restarts and bang gone again. I even maid a backup after the last
time I edited the file and would just copy the file to the user folder when I
needed it and of course some where along the way I lost that set file. Lol.
So like I said willing to give it another go round. Wish me luck.
Btw I love window-eyes. The feedback I am giving now is only to point out
problems and issues in hopes they might be addressed. The way I look at it if
we the user don't shair and tell gw micro what we want they won't know in what
direction to take the program. Only with feedback can something get better.

All I can say is that the float windows I just defined a week or so ago use
strings for the left boundary and I haven't had a problem with them.

Hi,

Well the problem is when you define strings some times the set file
does not keep the string. The float window is defined but the string
of text to look for in the float window is not retained.

Also in goldwave and edit boxes at times the osm still needs a refresh.
I see this in the set markers dialog box. I can read the information
in the start marker edit box when I tab to the finish marker no data
is read. If I refresh the osm the data is read.

It happens at some point on every computer I got.

This system has amd a8 quade core cpu. 8 gb ram 750 hdd windows 7 x64.
Internet exploerer nine. Any all version of goldwave 5.

It only happens after spending a long time in goldwave. As a rule. I
do a lot of audio editing.

Oh anyone tried using float windows. There have been issues with them
for the last few versions as well. I have reported this over and over
as well.

     Hi,

The issues persist with goldwave and keyboard ctrl in goldwave. I
have reported this problem over and over and it is still not fixed.

This happens if apps are turned off so it is not an app I have
     installed.

     What happens.

Some times after working with goldwave for a while window-eyes
becomes very slow all keyboard support is very slow. So for example
you might set a start marker and it takes a long time before the
marker is set and it is not where you want it at all. Or you might
press the stop button and it takes a long time to perform the action.

If you unload window-eyes and restart it all returns to normal. As
I said I have reported this problem over and over again.
