Need some help here.
Have been trying to get WE to work with Open office.
It seems to me that the version of java you have installed is critical
in getting it to work.
I have installed Open office 3.4.1, Java 6.29 and have made sure that
the java bridge is installed. With this configuration I can use writer
and after typing can review the screen with the arrow keys just fine.
My problem is that if I try to use the menu bar WE will not read the
entries in the menus. For example if I hit the alt key then the down
arrow it expands the menu and sighted help says there are the normal
entries you would find under the file menu. However in my case instead
of reading these entries as I arrow down I hear only such things as menu
pulldown and menu item dialog which is useless info.
If someone has this working properly please tell me which version of
Open Office you are running and which versions of Java you have installed.
I also have the support accessibility option checked as GW has instructed.
Thanks for any info.
