Hi Doug,

I went through that process as well, but found a tool bar that had been
installed and was listed in my add/remove programs menu. As soon as I
removed the tool bar the problem was solved. Thanks, and as always, great
work on the new version of WE.

Subject: Those with IE issues

If you are an IE user and have said that from time to time you are having
focus issues or browse mode isn't available until you alt-tab away or
whatever, you may want to give this a try. Many times IE toolbars get
installed usually without the user's knowledge or approval and they cause
all sorts of focus issues. Meaning they change where focus goes so instead
of going to the document content they go somewhere else causing Window-Eyes
to think (for good reason) that focus isn't on the web page and thereby
doesn't allow browse mode as one example. So if you think this is the case,
please do these steps for IE only:

1) While in IE press alt-V to bring up the View menu
2) press T for the toolbars pulldown
3) arrow up and down through the list. This will show you all the toolbars
you have installed. If the item is checked then it is active.
Please uncheck all items except for the last item which is "Lock the
toolbars". The lock option can remain on. Note every time you hit
enter on an option it will toggle between checked and unchecked and you will
be thrown out of the menu so you'll need to do steps 1 and 2 again to get
back to the menu to uncheck other options if necessary.

Restart IE and see if your weird focus issues have gone away.

Thanks,
Doug
