Hi, Thanks for the suggestion. I wasn’t aware that there was an “Apply” option in the W-E UI. I’ll try that next time I have this problem.
I installed the Windows Live Mail app and my settings are sticking now. Odd—and I have no way of explaining it—but there you go. xD Munawar A. What I think is happening is you’re saving settings that have not yet been applied yet when hitting control s. Hope this helps, Patrick From: Munawar Bijani Sent: Thursday, October 25, 2012 8:18 PM To: GW Micro Info Subject: Windows Live Mail, program scope settings not sticking I have W-E set to not read the new page when it loads. However, in WLM I would like to have it read the whole message, so I open a message and press CTRL+BACKSLASH. I arrow to Verbosity –> Browse Mode –> New Page Information One. I press TAB to the Automatically Read toggle scope button and set it to Program, then change the following combo box to “Entire page.” I press CTRL+S to save my settings. When I load a new message in WLM, W-E uses the global setting I have set, which is not to read the document at all. If I press CTRL+BACKSLASH, I notice the scope button is back to Global and the setting, naturally, is set to “Nothing.” Summary: Program specific settings in WLM are not sticking. I’ve even tried making the change when in the message listview instead of in a message since W-E associates set files with module names and not program executable names, but this does not work.
