Kelvin,
This is not John's problem at all. In your case browse mode is staying
off as it should but John is saying it turns back on. I've not seen that.
In your case it would appear the fieldname for the combo box isn't
tagged correctly. But it is impossible for me to give anything useful
without being able to get to the page.

Hi Doug,.
I also have a problem on a similar page to John's, but the problem is
different.
This again is on my Bank site. Entering the User Name and Password is a
breeze with the new auto browse mode. The next screen is like John's, and
you have to choose 3 letters from 3 combo boxes. In WE 7 I never had any
problems when tabbing through the combo boxes, and choosing the letter, but
with the WE 8 Beta, I'm not been told which character is needed. This means
I have to switch on browse mode and arrow up to read the heading.
I've got a mobile version of WE 7 on this PC, and I've checked, the WE 7
reads 'Character 7 Please enter ... combo'. In WE 8, as I tab, I hear '
Please enter ... combo'.

Hello Doug,
I am sorry I did not explain the issue properly.
In WE 7.5.4.1, and earlier, I could navigate to the first combo box and
then switch browse mode off. I could then use the up and down arrow keys to
select the item in the list I wished to use. I then use a tab to get to the
next combo box and used the arrow keys to select the letter. ETC.
With WE 8 beta 1 I had no control at all of the switch to browse mode or
not: I got to the first combo box, selected the letter I wished and then
tabbed to the next. At this point browse mode switched in again and I
started at an undefined, to me point on the screen I could navigate to the
combo box, but it was not easy.
I hope this is of help.

John,
I'm not following you. From what you said, it should be that it works
better in 8 than it did in 7.5.4.1. In 7.5.4.1 when you tabbed to the first
combo box you would of still been in browse mode so you would of had to hit
enter or hit ctrl-shift-a to toggle BM off in order to interact with the
combo box. Now with 8.0 all you have to do is tab to the combo box and you
can start interacting with it. Clearly I'm missing something <smile>.

Greetings.
Windows 7 pro 64 bit with all patches.
WE 8.0 beta 1
Using IE8.
I have access my bank account using the new beta of Window-eyes.
To do this, the first page is a user-id and a password.
No issue.
The second page is where there are 3 adjacent combo boxes with which
to select the letters from 3 places in a a security phrase.
Under WE 7.5.4.1 and earlier this did not present any problems. Once
on the first combo box, browse mode was switched off and then the
arrow keys were used on each of the boxes to select the letter in the
list.
Now, with the automatic nature of browse mode, I found this a
difficult task.
Is it possible to go back to the old mode of browse for a given page
when desired or is there a designed means of handling such a scenario?
Thanks in advance.
