App Get is a Window-Eyes app that makes it easy for us to go to GW-Micro's app central web site to get apps. The hot key is Windows-G. So it sounds like your Windows key is sticking for some reason. Although you should be seeing more surprises if this is the case. Try tapping the Windows key a few times when this happens and see if the problem goes away. I'd also check to make sure the hot key assignment for App get didn't somehow get changed.
1. Open the Window-Eyes control panel.
2. Alt-A Apps.
3. Right arrow to open App management.
4. P to open app manager.
5. Select App get.
6. Tab down, making sure that the Show more options check box is checked. Then tab to the Help and options button and hit space or enter. You can check the hot key assignment there and change it if necessary.

This last week I am suddenly having pop up on my PC something called App
Get every time I hit the letter g. The only way I can get rid of it is
to reboot. It has 254 apps, a refresh button, and a close button. When I
hit the close button it goes away until I hit the letter g again.
Question: how do I get rid of the uninvited program or whatever? Alt-f4
doesn't work, neither does the cancel or close buttons. Or, is this
another WE bug like "services and controller app"?
Thanks for any good help!
