Hi Doug

That solved my problem.

I think I turned off enhanced support when I was looking for a solution to the problem moving the highlight through the recent documents list that we corresponded about and has yet to be solved.

I had always thought that "enhanced support" was for reading some fancy formatting not for something basic like reading text by moving the cursor.

As always, thanks very much for your help

James,

If it only has this issue when the document is called Document 1, that tells me that at some point you must have disabled the Enhanced support for that name. We have a feature that lets you disable our enhanced Word support for a given document. It remembers the document name and will disable it when you load it back. You can check this by getting into your Document 1 situation and popping up Window-Eyes. Go to the Verbosity node followed by Office followed by Word and finally Miscellaneous. Under this node tab to the last checkbox "Enable Enhanced Support for Current Document". I'm hoping this is unchecked for you. Simply check it and you should be good to go.

Hi

When I open MS Word 2010 and type into the blank page called Document 1, I cannot read the text by moving the cursor. If I save the document and give it a name, I can then read the text by moving the cursor. I can also eliminate the problem if, instead of typing in Document 1, I open a new document, Document 2 and type into Document 2.

This seems pretty strange but it is reproducible.
