The MLA handbook only allows one space between sentences, but the beta is reading the sentences as if they are one, unless I put two spaces after the end of sentence punctuation.
Try it yourself. Open Word 2003, start a new document, and type a few sentences. Be sure to follow the MLA style, putting only one space after the end of sentence punctuation. Put the cursor at the beginning of the first sentence. Now use the Word sentence right shortcut, Control-Shift-Pg Dn to move to the next sentence. Now, if you are inclined, go back and revise, adding a second space after the end of sentence punctuation. Go back to the top of the page and use the sentence right shortcut again. It's broke. Lou N.
