i have the same problem with my i5 quad core 64bit system with 8gb of memory. speech is constantly freezeing and i have to alt tab out and back into a windows explorer screen before w e will talk. ribbons that only will say opened and closed but not what they are. etc. with the metro start screen w e will speak each tile? 3 times for each one. w e tool tips are turned off. there is a option in windows 7 to turn off sound enhancements in the sound card settings or in the equalizer somewhere but i didn't see this option in windows 8 pro full release. this is suppose to improve the speech responsiveness.
