I'll bet you're having trouble making it record, aren't you, Vinny? No matter which input I choose, Gold Wave pops up with an error message saying it can't record. During editing of files I had done on an older computer, Window-Eyes seems to get tangled up with Gold Wave sometimes and both programs become very sluggish and finally I lose speech. I can't tell if it's trouble between the two programs or if Win 7 is the culprit. As regards to my inability to record, Chris Craig of Gold Wave says it's not Gold wave, but something to do with how Vista and Win 7 communicate to the sound card. It is possible, I guess, that the Gold Wave Win 7 conflict is the root cause and WE is just an innocent bystander, so to speak. All I know for certain is I miss the straightforward and predictable simplicity of my Win XP machine terribly. If I stumble on the solution to the recording problem, I'll notify you off list.
In the subject, you mentioned two issues. What's the second one? -----Original Message----- From: Vinny Samarco [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, November 06, 2012 11:27 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Two issues. I was a happy goldwave user until I upgraded to windows 7 where I had to change to this new version. Now, I can't get goldwave to do anything. So if anyone answers you about your goldwave issue, I would like to know about it. Thanks. Vinny If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
