May I ask, why does Browse Mode turn off, when you hit a button. To me, a button only can be activated, and that you can do by the Spacebar, or the Return-key. Both of them, formerly have worked even with BM turned on. So, please explain, why does the new BM have to turn off at a button? What benefit would such a switching ever have? Puzzled...

Pete,

Under Windows 7, the space does nothing in Windows Explorer so I'm confused on why you are getting any speech? For me all I hear is "space" which is exactly what I would expect. Now control-space isn't speaking anything and it should so that we will investigate.

As for Google, this is be design because as you are tabbing, you are tabbing through links and buttons. When you tab to a button, BM will turn off...when you tab to a link, BM will turn on. But I think in Google's case it is better to just hit H to go to the next result anyway...once you find one of interest than you can arrow and/or tab or whatever...but to tab through all the sub items of a result is time consuming.

hello gw staff,

after installing beta 2 a couple of things that still give problems are:
when in windows explorer and going down a list of folders and files if you press the spacebar to repeat the name of a folder or file window-eyes only tells you when it was created plus some other info but not the name of the
folder or file.
it also doesn't tell you correctly when you are selecting multiple files.
and when on a page of search results on google browse mode keeps turning on
and off as you tab down the results, each time it gets to the links
labelled as 'result' it turns off and when you tab onto a link to take you
to one of the results it turns back on again.
this is on an i7 machine running windows7 with the latest firefox.
