It's working fine here on Windows 7/64.
check Verbosity, Common, Miscellaneous, and make sure Speak top/bottom
indexes is on.
And while a folder with only one file in it doesn't speak when
cursoring, when I enter such a folder I hear: top/bottom file name.

I am experiencing this problem also and did so in the previous beta. The
problem was reported to the list but no comment was made by GW Micro so
don't know if they are aware of the problem or not.
The problem is even worse when there is only one file in the folder
because WE goes silent altogether and it is impossible to know if the
file still exists or not.

Hi
I've noticed that when I get to the bottom or top of a list and arrow
down, we is silent. It doesn't announce the file in the list that is the
last file like it used to. The same is true for the top of the file
list. Is this deliberate, or is it the same sort of as yet unresolved
issue with grouping, see prev message. Insert puzzled expression and
exclamation of, what's up doc?
