Not so in my case.
Note that Control-1 is an Outlook key, and not a Window-Eyes or Outlook
Enhance key. Perhaps you have something else installed that's trapping
that specific keystroke. You can bypass Window-Eyes with Insert-B, and
then try Control-1. That will bypass both Window-Eyes and all app hotkeys.
If I alt tab into the folders list and for example go to make sure a
good message didn't get sucked into the spam folder.
Pressing Alt-Tab will typically change activation between open programs.
Control-Tab, on the other hand, will move you around the various panes
in Outlook, such as the folder list and message list.
Are there other settings that should be made to have an outlook 2010
profile using imap email accounts that need to be done to make We work
the way it was designed?
Window-Eyes doesn't care whether you're using IMAP or POP as you mail
protocol. They don't have anything to do with one another. If you're
having difficulty getting to the folder you want, try using Control-Y.
That's, again, an Outlook key that will bring up a list of folders in a
tree view.
Ctrl 1 does report Inbox but I think it is wanting to take me to
outlook's inbox and not my imap inbox.
Control-1 takes you to your mail. It doesn't control what folder you
land in. Control-2 takes you to the calendar interface, Control-3 takes
you to contacts, and Control-4 takes you to tasks. Control-1 simply
takes you back to mail. Again, use Control-Y to select what folder you want.
There are literally thousands of resources available online for learning
more about Outlook 2010. You can start with Microsoft's Getting started
with Outlook 2010:
