I have struggled and striven and tried every solution I know to get the Outlook Enhance app to work on my at-home laptop with no joy. I even considered implementing some kind of ancient curse on the machine. Sound over the top? Well, it is, but it at least conveys some of my frustration.
So this morning, I began to diddle in earnest with the Outlook add-ins options under the file menu. I discovered some fascinating things--that the Outlook Enhance add-in had been somehow disabled by something. I checked the checkbox to enable the program; still no luck. I diddled with even greater concentration, and drilled into the actual DLL list of disabled DLLs. I enabled the Outlook Enhance DLL, then again checked the checkbox to enable the add-in generally, and it now works as advertised. All of my messages now read perfectly as soon as they're opened. Messages that once had to be opened in my web browser now read beautifully without having to do Alt+0. I don't know why I didn't think to look in the outlook add-ins section of the program to determine what was disabled. I'm just now afraid to death to ever close Outlook in fear that today's success will be short lived and not duplicated. (I have multiple profiles set up, you see, and the profile that shows messages from the GW Micro list is a work profile. I've no idea whether this will hold up when I open the home profile, but we'll see soon enough. Just thought I'd share my success in case others see incidents wherein the Outlook Enhance app starts, then stops 15 or so seconds later. It seems to stay running constantly now, which makes sense, of course, when you consider that I'm getting the good results.
