also, you can also add new functionality to set files. for example, I
created, or I am in the process of writing SetFiles for Sonar in Window-Eyes
tiat will jump you to the tracks, fx, and it will also tell you the time in
a file by pressing control alt page up and page down. so what that means if,
say if you were at 1:01:000 and you pressed control page down it would say
2:01:000 and so on, automaticly. I find SetFile writing easier than script
writing. I did try my hand at script writing but I wasn't very good. this is
on Sonar 8.5 studio.

Hi Armando,
A set file is a collection of all the settings which Window-Eyes can have.
There is usually a set file for each program you run, and this set file is
automatically loaded by Window-Eyes, and all of the settings it has are
automatically used, each time you switch to a different program.
This means you could have punctuation characters being spoken in one program
(like a word processor), and not being spoken in another program (like your
email), because they use different set files, and you could have the
punctuation set differently for each set file.
It's a very powerful feature of Window-Eyes, and I hope you will get someone
to help you learn window-eyes, or listen to their audio tutorials, or read
the manual, so you can get the most from your computer.

One way to get around it should be to alt-tab to the Window-eyes window
perhaps.
Or, edit the set file which disables all the hotkeys and re-define the one
which brings up the WE control panel.
