-------- Original Message -------- Subject: backspace issue in thunderbird & a few other related comments. Date: Wed, 05 Dec 2012 01:44:38 -0700 From: Dave Bahr <[email protected]> To: Aaron Smith' <[email protected]> Hey Aaron, i've been doing some testing on this issue. You had asked if another tb profile might help to troubleshoot this, the answer is, yes. Actually it took two profiles. So it turns out, that if I have my signature in the reply or forward of a message, it looks like the backspace key is silent. That said, I can't get it to trigger all the time, it's spiratic. But it does announce the prior char, sometimes. Now I seem to be having an issue with we thinking there are duplicate characters if I use the left and right arrows. Again, this is spiratic, the word "does" in the sentence above, is telling me I havee two D's, when in fact, if I use the mouse word next key, there's only one. And just to make things even stranger, the cursor keys for Program are not sticking even when saving the settings. Both left and right arrow, if I try to define them, say "char after." Would associating the thunderbird_write.set file with the window title instead of "none" help at all? -- Dave C. Hi gang, I wrote this to Aaron and then thought maybe others might
benefit from reading it, re: the backspace issue and thunderbird. Just
my experiences with this issue and a few others. Weirdly enough, for me,
the lines below, original message, where it says from and to, don't read
right now in the message area of tb. using tb 17.
