This has been an issue for me since I began using Outlook 2010 in 2010. I usually have to double press the hot key command for the read sequence to begin.

So it is rendered in word pressing the ctrl shift R does nothing the first key press it has to be done two times to get a read to end started. It started in the beta using FX 15. When I'd hit shift control R, all I'd hear was a ding. Some time it works, but once you get the first ding, read to end will continually ding there after.
