I upgraded to WE 8 from the previous version on my Dell desktop running Win 7 64 home Premium with WLM 2011 and IE 9.
WE is very unstable on this system. It often crashes and stops speaking, requiring a system reboot. The problem is mostly with IE, but these crashes have happened when composing a message in WLM or even just sitting at the desktop. Note that I say that we crashes, not the PC itself. This happened occasionally with the previous version when launching IE from an Email link, but exiting IE would bring speech back. Now, speech is gone, no matter what I try. The weird thing is that I can exit WE in the normal way, relaunch WE, but there is still no speech. And when I give the command to shut down, WE comes back for a second or two just before the system shuts down. What to do?
