I've had the same problem using xp, service pak 3, we 7.5.4.1 for quite a while. But I've also been having problems with my computer booting up. I can't be sure it's actually not booting or if WE isn't talking at the log in screen. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brice Mijares" <[email protected]>

Subject: no speech at log in screen

This has happened at least 5 times since the debut of 8.0 . When I boot the computer, I hear the event sound for the log in screen and window eyes never comes up. So I type in my password, hit enter and I don't even hear the little event sound that I assume means log in was successful. So I give it some time, but window eyes never comes up at all. I've tried hitting the windoweyes hot key to bring it up, nothing At this point seems to work. I can't shut it down with out having to hold the button in till it shuts off. Vista 32 bit home premium.
