Don,

It's entirely up to you. At this point, the only reason I would recommend 
keeping the native Skype client installed is if you need to make or receive 
video calls. This feature is planned for the next major GWConnect update, but 
for now only voice calls are possible. On the other hand, if you don't care 
about video, then it's perfectly fine to remove Skype; it won't effect 
GWConnect at all.
