As far as the ESPN site is concerned, I am having no special issues. In
fact, I play fantasy football on that site, and am there several times
per week. The problems that I am having with IE and WE 8 occur on any
web site.

Hi Andy,

Can you send me the url of the espn site as I would like to check it out
for you.

I've never had the problems you are encountering. I am using windows 7
pro so not sure if that is the problem but my friand is using xp so I
can ask him to check for me. At certain times he is havingh similar
problems to you with w.e going silent on web pages.

Live long and prosper, John

The problem that I am having with WE 8 and IE 9 is that WE simply stops
speaking when IE is launched. It doesn't matter what site, etc. This
used to happen sometimes with the previous version of WE, but closing IE
would bring speech back, and relaunching would usually work. Now,
speech is gone after IE is closed, and only a reboot will bring it back.
The interesting thing is that even though speech is gone, WE is stil
there. In fact, I can unload WE and even relaunch it, but still no
speech.

Hi one and all. On the face of it, its not Win-eyes related, but it is
in the end. More then I care to count and more then I would've liked,
I've had to bring up NVDA to relaunch IE which has gotten hung up on
that page you go to if you've forgotten passwords, member names etc.
All this worked great on XP machines with older versions of Win-Eyes but
having had the same bad luck on this laptop which is running the latest
in everything including IE9, and it still locks up? Trying to not only
reset the username, password or just start iver to get full access to
archives. The message I've gotten on both the desk and laptop is that
Internet Explorer has stopped working with options to restart or close
the program.

It doesn't matter what browser, computer even if I use firefox, the
instability never ceases to amaze and while I'm inclined to think its a
glitch on the site, the one taking the fall is the Win-eyes which is
totally silent til IE is relaunched. Til then, thank God for NVDA. So
to any sports fans around, or just simply interested in all this, do you
have any work arrounds on what or why now of all times, Win-Eyes is
hanging as IE stops working on a site which upto recently, was great?
Thanks.
Jesse
