Hey, Tony. I don't have the Vocalize vox, but I know something that might work.
>From the Desktop, open the WE control panel with control backslash. Press Alt-E to put focus on the settings tree view. Press the letter d to jump to the dictionaries node. Right arrow, then down arrow to Character. In the original edit box, type the period character. Now, I'll give you two options, in case you want to hear the period spoken. Tab to the replacement edit box and type the word period, or, past the replacement edit box (If you don't want the period character spoken), to the update entry button and press spacebar. Now go into the screen> punctuation> dialog and set the textual combo box to dictionary only. Press Control-S to save your settings.
