At work, on an XP machine, IE8, I was able to go to the view menu and uncheck 
the bing tool bar.  I don't know if that can be done the same way in IE9 and 
Windows 7.  I have not used them, but if there is a way, that will make the 
Bing bar disappear.  Windows asked me if I wanted to disable that add-on, and I 
said yes.  It is not fun to get trapped in the Bing tool bar.

I don't know what the picture deal is, but Bing is no doubt an add-on
that Microsoft has been pushing for ages now.. As a matter of fact there
was a Bing desktop optional update in Windows updates recently. I have
no idea what it is. So I left it unchecked and hid it because I'm sure
it's little more than a headache generator for screen-reader users. So
you might want to check add-ons and program files for anything bing related.
