You may have been the first WE user that lady knew about, but I contacted Learning Ally a few weeks ago about not being able to log in with Internet Explorer using Window Eyes. The lady I spoke to told me that she had encountered another WE user who was having the same problem, and that something about Suspend All, (I can't recall what it was exactly or how you do it), helped this person. It didn't help me however, but I installed Firefox just to see if it would work and it did let me log in.
That site needs other work besides the log in problems people are having. If I set the sorting and number of search results to something other than the default when browsing books, then click on a title to read more about it, then go back to the previous page, it reverts to the default search sorting and number of results, and, it displays the first page of results as though I had chosen those default options. So I have to reset things and display the results page I was on all over again. Something I really hope they fix. I was surprised to receive a call about them thismorning. The lady told me that the majority of users on their site are JAWS users. She is aware that Learning Ally Users are having problems logging into the web site. I believe I was her first Window-Eyes user, though I don’t remember how she worded it. She said that they know NVDA does not work. I explained to her that we often try other screen readers if available. I also stressed that I had tried both IE 9 and firefox 17.01 and could not log in. She told me that they would be half-staffed the rest of the week, but would get back to me as soon as possible. I also stressed that I had no such problems before they changed their web site. All this is to say that thosed of you having problems with Learning Ally should contact them. It is quite possible that GW staff may have some comment onthis after Christmas.; If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
