The stone tablet, hammer and chisel icon has been eliminated. That bummed
me, personally. If you go from XP to Win seven, you'll be okay pretty much
right away, in about a week for finding stuff in the computer
system--control panel, sounds and audio, add remove programs--stuff like
that. As for Win eight, I'll leave that to another.

    Well, now that WE 8 is out and new llaptops are being shipped with 
Windows 8, I was wondering, how much of a learning curve is there between xp

and windows 7 or 8.  My desktop is about 15 years old and is in need of
