Hi, Mike.
Why not transfer the file from one of your laptops to the desktop computer? This is super easy if you have a network router and the computers are set up to share files. Or, you could copy the file to a flash drive and put the file on the desktop from the flash drive. I purchased the English language Vocalizer package this morning from Gw Micro. I was able to download the authorization file on both my Dell Xps-8500 desktop running Window-eyes 8.0.0and Windows 8 as well as on my Dell Xps-501 laptop running Windows 7 32 bit. I am not able to download the voices on my desktop computer, however. Here are the steps. I go to www.gwmicro.com/voices. I enter my serial number and press continue. When I get to the select language combo box even when I press alt-down arrow all I hear is 1 of 39, 2 of 39, and so on. Thinking that the second item would be American English Jill, I tab to the select quality combo box. When I press alt-down arrow all I hear is quality so I can't determine which quality is selected. I didn't have any trouble installing voices on my Dell Xps-501 laptop running Window-eyes 8.0.0 under Windows 7 32 bit. If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
