Hi, I am using windows 7 64 bit and it happens here, not always, but often when I load WE with control-alt-w. (sorry about the previous confusion about hot key, but a dear friend point that out how I'd goofed). :) Also, when WE boots, it occurs that windows with the "ok" button is showing and it seems my system is a little slow until that dialog is dismissed.

Hi. This doesn't seem to happen on my laptop computer which has windows 7 64 bit. However last time I used my desktop it happened to me several times. It has windows xp.

Curtis, if you ever figure it out, let us know. A number of us have
this problem.

This continues to happen, when either I boot my computer, or when I load WE with the alt-shift-W command. I almost every time get the message that "We is already running," with that "ok" button to unload the message. Why? I completely removed my previous version of WE (including directories) when I got my CD because of issues regarding the GW-Toolkit script crashing WE for some reason, making a loop I couldn't get out of unless I ran WE with the left shift key down condition, which fortunately makes all scripts "manual" by default, and it circumvented the problem until I attempted to load scripts with that removed version. This virgin install of WE8 has been not modified much except for my speech preferences and minor *.set changes, and a few of my favorite scripts, but even when I installed WE8 from the CD, it wasn't long before I got the double loading of WE8, and have the "OK" button always displayed for "window-eyes is already running."
