Just to clarify Backup and Restore is replaced by File History in Windows 8. However if you upgraded from Windows 7 and you have a previous backup schedule set up, this will continue into Windows 8 and you can use the new Windows 7 File Recovery item in Control Panel to recover your files backed up this way.
